Well I actually call him Gold, because I follow the Manga storyboard more closer then the game and Anime, pff I don't even watch the Anime .

Well Gold is actually a Pokemon Breeder according to Oak in the manga, he has a bad attitude, and is quite mischevious.
His mission was to locate Silver and get the Stolen Pokemon (Totodile) back.

He wears googles and has his billiard cane with him.

Yea, one of his Hobbies is Billiard in the manga, which he uses to capture Pokemon by using his Billiard cane to shoot the Poke ball at the Pokemon.
